Ben Akkerman is a well-known optician from the lowlands who has recently opened a unique optical practice. He already has several stores in the design-savvy city of Rotterdam where he is renowned for his daring frame designs, having pushed eyewear as a fashion statement at a time when many opticians wore white coats and glasses were considered a medical aid.
The new practice, Eyeclusive, is a fusion of retail space and art gallery where Ben’s own paintings and jewelry designs are displayed alongside inspiring exhibits. Exclusive eyewear labels such as Kuboraum Berlin, Pugnale & Nyleve, and Sashee Schuster flourish in the boutique atmosphere of this highly individual practice.
Top Vision were asked to produce wall feature to present sunglasses in a secure but inviting way which would complement the gallery-like interior. The Store-Elements units allow for sunglasses to be shown off to maximum effect against a plain white background in the busiest area of the practice with no security worries. This is also a highly visible location, drawing interest from passing shoppers whilst emphasizing the brand image of the practice.
