After many years of experience in the optical market you decided to create your own concept for retailing. What was the reason to do so and did you have this in your mind for a while?
In recent years and particularly in the last two years i noticed an interesting opportunity; on one side the chain businesses are focused on pricing, and on the other hand the single opticians who are focused on being independent. The single opticians are still creating shops with no concept and no information for the end user.
Independent opticians try to keep their turnover by increasing prices year on year. My proposition is that there is a lot of space in the market for a new optical retailer which can be considered a hybrid. A concept which is using the transparency of the chain business whilst showing the handicraft, service and the inspiration of the independent optician. Besides i had i dream for 20 years to launch a concept into the market with added value. Take a look for yourself and make up your mind.
